James Caraballo, Research & Development Engineer

As a child, James Caraballo loved cars and always played with his toy racecar. What began as a dream to be a racecar driver developed into a yearning to understand the ins and outs of how they work. This is where he understood his calling to be an engineer and eventually attended Florida International University to pursue his degree.

While still in college, James joined Haiku Tech as an intern where he began training as a research assistant. After receiving his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, he was hired full time as a Research & Development Engineer. He currently spends his time in the lab researching processes and in the field helping build and install machinery for customer use. While not at work, James can be found listening to music or in the garage, tinkering with his own car.

Roderik Höppener, President & CEO

From a young age, Roderik knew he had a particular knack for the sciences, specifically inorganic chemistry to understand the minerals he was collecting. After graduating from the Technical University Delft, in Delft, Netherlands with his Masters in Chemical Technology and Catalysis, Roderik spent several years as a technology manager where he invented and patented an improved tape process and was responsible for the scale-up and development of ultra-thin ceramic foils for multilayer ceramics. In other words, Roderik had found his calling.

His love for ceramics and technology was the inspiration for Haiku Tech, which was founded in 1996. His mission from day one was to combine the highest quality technology and service with the top-of-the-line know-how and processes, all in the name of providing the ultimate customer experience and satisfaction. Roderik’s vision has resulted in Haiku Tech becoming the global leader in the multi-layer electronics components industry by providing solutions that are specifically tailored to each client’s specific needs.

Roderik currently sits as President and CEO of Haiku Tech focusing on always enhancing the client experience and driving development to ensure that Haiku Tech remains on the cutting edge of future technologies. He is also one of the two founders of Dynamic Ear Company in Delft the Netherlands where multilayer ceramics are driving innovative dynamic hearing protection devices.

Anton Litke, Project Manager

Born in Kazakhstan and later raised in Russia, Anton Litke spent his early years focused on his studies. Unlike most children his age, he knew by the age of 14 that he wanted to develop new products and technologies for a living. This inspired him to turn his focus towards chemistry, spending extra time diving deep into the subject and participating – and winning! – in school competitions.

His hard work paid off when he later went on to obtain his Masters in Chemistry from Novosibirsk State University in Russia. After graduation, Anton began his career in chemical engineering and sales, providing him with a deep understanding of the business. Several years later, Anton moved to The Netherlands to pursue his PhD in Inorganic Photo-catalysis and currently holds a position at Haiku Tech as a Project Manager. His responsibilities include conducting and overseeing product development, marketing and direct sales of equipment, especially for the inspection of multilayered ceramics.
